National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

For the survivors and for those who never made it back. I made this poster as a tribute to honor our loved ones here and those in the spirit world.

The Canadian government created the federal holiday in 2021 to honour residential school survivors as well as their families, communities and the children who never made it home.

I went to school at University nuhelot’ine thaiyots’inistameyimâkanak Blue Quills when the leadership from Saddle Lake took over the school. It was there where I learned about the truth and worked hard toward healing my own self in understanding what happened and how can I be an impact of change for the future. Since than I have worked tirelessly towards creating spaces to integrate change in mainstream to understand that we are on Treaty territories and to honor these homelands of Indigenous people.

My offer to you is to learn more about how we can heal the collective trauma by downloading my free presentation at Healing the Collective Trauma of Residential Schools! | LR WELLNESS

This is my gift to the world as we commemorate this day and move forward through taking actions towards healing.
