Embracing New Beginnings

A Tribute to my brother Gerald and the Arrival of Spring

As we welcome April with open arms, bidding farewell to the chill of March, we find ourselves amidst a time of renewal and new beginnings. It is a season of blossoming flowers, chirping birds, and the promise of warmer days ahead. However, amidst the joy of spring, we also pause to remember and honor those who have departed from this world, leaving behind cherished memories and lessons that continue to guide us.

This March, my heart is heavy as I reflect on the life of my beloved brother, Gerald, who has transitioned to the spirit world. Gerald was more than just a brother; he was a beacon of light in our lives—a son, husband, business owner, and a friend to all who knew him. Growing up on the farm instilled in him a deep love for nature, animals, and the values of hard work and self-sufficiency.

Gerald's passion for problem-solving and his mechanical skills led him to establish his own plumbing company—a testament to his determination and entrepreneurial spirit. He approached life with a sense of innovation and dedication, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and perseverance.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Gerald cherished his family, his furry companions, and the adventures of travel. Though he may no longer be with us physically, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts, and his memory will continue to inspire us to live our lives to the fullest.

As we embrace the equinox and the changing of seasons, we are reminded of the cyclical nature of life—the rhythm of birth, growth, and eventual transition. Growing up on the farm, we learned invaluable lessons from the land and its inhabitants—the cycle of life and the interconnectedness of all living beings.

As we sow the seeds of life into the earth, we are reminded of the abundance that surrounds us and the importance of nurturing and caring for our planet. Just as we tend to our gardens, we must also tend to the relationships in our lives, fostering love, compassion, and understanding.

For those who may be struggling with the changes and transitions of life, know that you are not alone. Reach out, connect, and seek support from your community. Whether it's through healing workshops or simply sharing your story, there is strength in coming together and supporting one another on this journey.

As we embrace the arrival of spring and all its beauty, let us also take a moment to honor the memories of our loved ones and the lessons they have taught us. May we carry their light within us as we embark on this journey of new beginnings and growth.

Wishing you all a season filled with love, joy, and the promise of new beginnings.

With gratitude,

Lise Robinson
